Verification of a high-tech company:
1. The company engages in the research and development, production, and technical services of one or many high technologies and products specified in the scope.
2. The company is of legal entity qualification.
3. The number of scientific and technical staff whose academic degree is above college level accounts for over 30% of the total number of personnel, among which the number of scientific and technical staff engaging in the research and development of high-tech products accounts for over 10% of the total number of personnel.
The number of scientific and technical staff whose academic degree is above college level and who are engaged in high-tech products production or service-type labor-intensive high technologies accounts for over 20% of the total number of personnel.
4. The funds allocated by the company in the research and development of high technologies and products each year shall account for over 5% of the total sales volume of that year.
5. The annual sales volume from high-tech products shall account for over 60% of the company’s annual income in that year; for a newly established company, the investment in high-tech field shall account for 60% of the total investment.
6. The company’s main responsible staff should be professional staff familiar with the research, development, production, and operation of the products, and attaching importance to technical innovation.
Materials to be submitted for applying for the verification of a high-tech company:
1. Application Registration Form for the verification of a high-tech company of Shanghai City;
2. Copy of the duplicate of Business License;
3. Articles of Association
4. Copies of academic degree or professional title of the company’s technical staff;
5. Feasibility Analysis Report of the company’s business;
6. Concerning materials proving high technologies and products.
Declaration procedures:
1. File an application to the local (district or county-level) department located in the industrial and commercial registration area. Upon examination, the local department will refer the case to the municipal department for approval, and the “High-Tech Company Verification Certificate of Beijing City” will be issued by the municipal department.
2. The high-tech company verified shall enjoy various preferential policies of China and Shanghai City.
